Shipping Instructions

If you don't live in or near the Northwest Arkansas area, or if bringing your instrument to The Bandsmith just isn't convenient for you, you can always have your instrument shipped to me. Just call ahead or email me to let me know you need to ship it, and I'll give you the shipping address. Be sure to insure your instrument with the carrier for its value, and send it with shipping prepaid.

Along with your name, please include your complete return shipping address, phone number(s), email address (if available), and specific instructions on the services needed. When it arrives, I will evaluate the instrument and contact you with an estimate, either by phone or email, which ever you prefer. If you agree to the estimate, I will then schedule it in and let you know when I expect it to be completed.

All services will need to be paid in full before I can ship the instrument back to you. I will ship it via UPS, and return shipping charges and insurance will be included in final invoice amount. I accept all major credit cards, PayPal, money orders, and personal checks. Personal checks will have to clear before the instrument is shipped.

Note on shipping larger instruments: On instruments trumpet-size and larger, I highly recommend that you do not ship the instrument in its case. In our experience, I have found that instruments are much more likely to be damaged inside its own case if the shipping box is dropped or thrown. Also, there's no need to pay shipping charges on the extra weight of the case. I also recommend that you wrap the instrument thoroughly with with bubble wrap, and then pack it tightly in the box with Styrofoam shipping peanuts. The instrument will be able to absorb and withstand any kind of shock that way, and not be slammed against the inside of its own case. If the case is also in need of repair, please ship it in a separate box.
